If we allow our happiness to be dependent on someone/something else, then we are merely setting ourselves up to be constantly let down.
True happiness must root from YOU and YOU only. It is then when it's ok for other things to make you happiER, to where if you don't have them, everything will still be ok.
It is too often where I see people distraught, torn, broken, over circumstances caused by other people that leaves me wondering why they do that to themselves. They are letting themselves sink into this hole for reasons completely unnecessary. And I'm not saying everything has to be holly jolly perfect to be happy, it just means you have to look past the imperfections. I think once one can realize that they hold the potential to be independently happy, their the quality of life will improve substantially.
Some pursue happiness - others create it.

Speaking Without Talking
Today I had a new experience. I had the opportunity to communicate with others, by means other than standard english discourse, and did I LISTEN, more than I ever had before. And not only that but, but I felt it and absorbed it with with all of my being, possibly not as much as if we were simply talking to each other. This is yet a new level of understanding I've just now discovered, and cannot wait to explore. Experiences like this continue to give me hope that our minds are more capable of understanding than we give them credit for.
This is not all we know, guys,
This is not all we know.
This is not all we know, guys,
This is not all we know.

Latte Art at its finest
What better way not only to start your day with a cup off joe , but a drop dead gorgeous one at that!? Yes, I'm talking about my two loves, coffee and art, combined together to make one beautiful masterpiece. Add a little chocolate syrup for kicks and your life is pretty much complete.
I'm going to get the right utensils needed to create such amazingbess and take on this new art form myself. Next time people ask me what media I use, I'm gonna be like. "sketching, acrylic paints, and uh....frothed milk."
